The East End branding and marketing strategy began with designing a graphic
identity to position the East End as a special and unique place. e project
included the creation of a logo, graphic style and theme, and brand statement,
all of which were applied to a seamless marketing strategy for the
East End District.
The goal was to create a system that captured the unique character of East End,EastEnd-cwv-4C
focusing on the assets that residents and visitors hold dear: anchor business,
visual and performing arts, pedestrian environment, and active spaces. e primary
brand graphic was designed to present an active and vibrant image of the
energetic district, while also positioning East End as the place to be.
As part of the process, Arnett Muldrow created the primary brand graphic, and
extended the style and theme to existing events and unique districts within the
area. e marketing plan included graphic strategies that applied the brand
imagery and message to a web portal, advertisements promoting businesses,
community pride collateral, brochures, letterhead, banners, etc. The
recommendations were strategic in nature, focusing on the capacity of the East
End Main Street organization and its mission.
