Ben Muldrow served on a Resource Team from the National Trust for Historic Preservation to evaluate the Main Street program in St. Johns. As part of a 6 member team, Ben focused on community branding and helping the downtown to enhance its marketing efforts through a shared brand. The week was an amazing one, meeting some of the most creative and diverse people who are fiercely protective of their community. It is hard to figure out how to adopt grit. How to embrace imperfection, and preserve an essence, not just a building. St. Johns is a really special place, and I am glad I got a chance to remind them of that.
